This project involves the demolition and strip out of multiple floors in the School of Tropical Medicine on a rolling programme, decanting services and staff from each floor, in succession, in preparation for a full refurbishment of each

This project comprised removal of:

• All fixtures, fittings (including M&E and sanitary ware)
• All internal walls and doors
• All ceilings and floor coverings
• All steelwork
• All internal and external windows

To leave each floor as a single empty expanses ready for refurbishment

Operating with the school still in full operation meant using methods of working and disposal routes that were not the most direct or easiest. Additional risk assessments and precautions were required.
