This project involved the commercial strip out of a retail unit to make ready for a full refurbishment.

This project comprised removal of :

• All fixtures, fittings and floor coverings
• Jewellery display units
• Metal staircase with glass infill panels
• Suspended ceiling tiles and grid

All debris had to be loaded to the front of the property and disposed of from site. This was in an extremely busy city centre location with by-laws restricting commercial vehicle movements during the usual working day.

The busy location and a requirement to complete the activities in an extremely short timescale meant planning and execution had to be even more closely managed. This minimised any risks of harm as well as reducing the potential for inconvenience, disruption or nuisance to neighbours and the general public.
