This project involved the removal of the top two floors of a 5 storey building whilst the retail operation remained open.

This project comprised removal of:

• All fixtures, fittings (including M&E and sanitary ware)
• All internal walls and doors
• All ceilings and floor coverings
• All steelwork
• All internal and external windows

All debris from the upper floors had to be loaded to the rear of the property and disposed from site. This was in a busy city centre location.

To achieve this, an area was fenced off and each skip was put in place and covered only after the previous fully loaded skip was removed.

Traffic management was a particularly important and difficult issue at site due to the location and required imposition of strict methods of working to minimise disruption to the local very busy area.

Completion was successfully achieved on programme
